In the afternoon of March 13, 2014, People’s Republic of China’s Ministry of Transport Minister Yang Chuantang visited COSCO Americas along with Director General Yang Zan from the Ministry’s Department of International Cooperation.

President Liu Hanbo of COSCO Americas hosted the meeting and discussions between Minister Yang and executives from China-affiliated transportation companies operating in the United States.  Attendees included executives from the US offices of Air China, China Shipping North America, China Classifications Society, China Communications Construction Company, China Eastern Airlines, and Hainan Airlines Group.

Executives provided brief company introductions, accomplishments, current issues, and suggestions to the Ministry of Transport.  In his speech, Minister Yang expressed thanks and appreciation for each company’s hard work and outlined the specific requirements regarding the implementation of China-affiliated companies “going global.”
