As part of our commitment to promoting an environmentally friendly community and work place, COSCO Americas participated in the Hudson TMA Stride & Ride Bike Rodeo on Saturday, June 7, 2014.The Hudson County TMA’s annual Stride & Ride Bike Rodeo is to teach and promote bicycle safety for both children and adult riders.  This was the second year COSCO Americas was a corporate sponsor of the event and COSCO employees volunteered to help.

Young participants at the Bike Rodeo receive safety instructions from COSCO volunteers Jacqueline Vena and Chris Long

Held at Stephen R. Gregg Park in Bayonne, NJ, the free event was open to the entire community.  Through the help of their sponsors, the TMA provided free helmets.  All riders had their bikes inspected before riding through five safety checkpoints.  Aspiring riders were also given the opportunity to learn how to ride safely without training wheels under proper supervision.
